Geolocation
In order to use this feature, users must select a geolocation compatible IP provider. Read the settings below for more details.
As of version 0.3.0, users can now quickly view their geolocation information using NetIP. It can be viewed in a couple of ways described below.
In the popup
The geolocation full information is visible in the NetIP popup:
Users can copy the full location string directly from the main popup, or view more geolocation info by clicking on the location name button to open the details tooltip.
Each values in the tooltip can be copied to the clipboard either by double-clicking on them or right-clicking (just like the network interfaces details).
In the Taskbar Icon
NetIP can also display your current country location flag directly in the Taskbar icon of Windows.
The icon flag in the taskbar will refresh in the background independently from the main popup. NetIP listens for the NetworkChange
class events to refresh the taskbar icon. Monitored events are:
To activate this feature, open the main window, navigate to the Settings page and select the "Country Flag" mode for the Taskbar Icon.
Settings
In order to use the geolocation information feature, you must select a compatible IP provider.
To do so, open the main window and navigate to the IP Providers page.
From there, select an IP provider with Geo Info enabled, and you're good to go!
