Settings

General Settings

  • Start with Windows: NetIP will start at user login.
  • Hide Sensitive Info : NetIP will require a second step to reveal sensitive information such as your Public IP.
  • Theme : Light or Dark
  • Taskbar Icon :
    • Static : The default NetIP icon.
    • Window Copycat: NetIP icon will behave like the Windows Network Taskbar icon does.
    • Country Flag : NetIP icon will become a flag of the country you're located in. Requires a Geo compatible IP Provider. Note: The icon flag will refresh in the background independently from the main popup. See Geolocation for more details.

Shortcuts & Key Bindings Settings

Taskbar Icon

  • Left-click on the icon (Default: Open the NetIP Network Popup)
  • Middle / MouseWheel-click on the icon (Default: Open Windows OS Network Popup)

Network Popup

  • Copy Public IPv4 (Default : Ctrl + C)
  • Copy Public IPv6 (Default : Ctrl + Shift + C)

Proxy Mode

If you set NetIP to connect using a proxy, you must select an IP provider with Dedicated Links. Otherwise, you will get errors & inconsistencies when fetching your public IP.

You can configure NetIP to use a proxy when fetching your Public IP and Geolocation. The modes are:

  • No Proxy
  • Yes (System Proxy) : NetIP will follow the Operating System proxy configured in Windows Settings.
  • Yes (Custom Proxy) : NetIP will follow the custom proxy you want.

The proxy mode can also be quickly switched directly from the Network Popup:
